Returning Grade 12 Students

Course Requests for Summit Trails Online High School Open!

If you are not going to earn your Alberta High School Diploma this year, and are want to return to Summit Trails for the 2023-2024 year, please email: summittrails@rockyview.ab.ca indicating the student’s name and that you are returning.


Students who want to upgrade next year are to register with the RVS Community Learning Centre.


Once you have emailed us that you are returning, we will turn on the course request form in PowerSchool.


Course Request Instructions

(after you have emailed Summit Trails)


Process:

  1. Students - sign-in to PowerSchool: https://ps.rockyview.ab.ca/public/home.html

  2. Select: Class Registration

  3. Start at the top and work down.

    ELA, Math, Social, Science, Synchronous Options, Asynchronous Options, PE& Calm.

Asynchronous Courses (self-directed)

The core subjects are all synchronous and some option courses can be asynchronous.


If you have a unique situation, please set up a time with the guidance counsellor to choose your courses.


Course selection closes April 29, 2023

If a course is greyed out, that means you don’t have the needed pre-requisites to take the course. Many of our students have unique schedules, so do your best to choose what you need. Once the selections are in, you will be able to meet with the guidance counsellor after April 29th, if there are changes or questions.


You will see your schedule by the end of June.
