There are people who put work first, pushing for results at all costs only to find themselves tipped over the edge with burnout. Research shows that 35% of managers reported feeling burned out “very often or always” as compared to 22% of leaders and 27% individual participants (Gallop Survey, November 2021).
Then there is the “quiet quitting” group of employees. They’re less invested in work with a greater bias to a having a work- life balance. They do not subscribe to the hustle culture but get through the working day by doing only what is absolutely necessary.
And the others- well they’ve quit their jobs; off to find greener pastures. They’re looking for greater opportunity and work fulfillment and make up what’s become known as the Great Resignation, a trend that started in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic.
