Prioritize yourself in 2023 by taking a few minutes each day to focus on your well-being.


As springtime unfolds, weʼre leaning into the evolution of our emotions, including the stickier ones like stress. Oh, stress. Itʼs uncomfortable; itʼs overwhelming; it takes a toll on our bodies and our minds. Despite the difficulty, there are ways to work through this feeling until it passes. By acknowledging the presence of stress, identifying its sources, and developing an effective coping toolkit, weʼll get closer and closer to a coveted sense of peace.
There are a multitude of tips and tricks for managing stress, like meditation, exercise, or chatting with a mental health professional. Ultimately, our coping strategies are personal and require openness to self-discovery.

Deer Park Monastics Visit

Save the Date! April 18 - 23

Join us in exploring mindfulness through a week of presentations, discussions, and meditation practice with ten senior monastic Dharma teachers in the Plum Village Tradition of scholar, poet, peace activist, and Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh from Deer Park Monastery in California. 

They will be on campus April 18 - 23 and will share practical examples of how mindfulness practices can be applied in the context of our daily lives to cultivate insight, compassion, build resilience, non-fear and nurture a culture of inclusivity and loving kindness.

The week will be filled with plenty of opportunities to meet, discuss, and meditate together.

New Faculty/Employee Assistance Program Counselor

We are very excited to welcome Chris Henderson, MA, LCMHC as our new on-campus mental health counselor. Chris recently joined the ComPsych/Guidance Resources team as the dedicated EAP Counselor for Dartmouth College employees and their household members. He can provide assistance across a variety of personal or work-life issues. Chris is available for in person or tele-health counseling. Receive up to 8 free confidential counseling sessions per issue.
