The Legends Class: your chance to honor a special person or horse

The 2nd annual Legends Class will be held May 20, at the Virginia National Stock Horse show in Doswell, VA. Last year's event had 52 entries.

What it is: All breed walk trot/ jog. In the preliminary round, horses in US, WP, and Ranch show separately. For the finals,  the top 5 from each discipline show together. A $35 entry fee automatically enters you in a random drawing for a CP Custom Saddle. A $100 sponsorship allows you to honor past horsemen and horses. All sponsorship $ is guaranteed to go into the prize pool. Signage showcases each individual/horse.
New dates for the 2024 Spring Breakout and a shout out to a record-breaking 2023 show

The 2024 Spring Breakout will be held April 16-20. Thanks to all the exhibitors who made the 2023 show such a success, with more than 6,000 entries, compared with 4,000 in 2022. Topline Event Management, Meghan Tierney, and Cameron VanSickle did a great job in making the show run smoothly. And we couldn't have done it without our sponsors. Many thanks!

Click for more information.
Important AQHA rule change regarding ownership requirements

The AQHA Executive Committee approved a rule change requiring owners/lessees of horses being shown at all AQHA-approved events to have a current AQHA membership in the name of the registered owner/lessee. This change to AQHA Rule SHW100.5 is effective June 1, 2023. Entries excluded from this requirement are Rookie and Level 1 youth and Rookie and Level 1 amateur.

Exhibitors who show in levels 2 and 3 in the youth and amateur divisions, as well as exhibitors in all open levels who choose to lease or show a horse not in their name need to ensure that the owner of that horse has an active AQHA membership to be able to compete in AQHA-approved events. Exhibitors will still need to have an active membership, as well, to compete.
