St. Patrick's Hosts Nomadic Shelter
On Saturday, April 1st, St. Patrick's hosted Nomadic Shelter. Above are photos of a few of the gusts who came to be with us and of the kitchen crew! The photo to the right are folks who were also a part of the kitchen crew. Below is Betsy's thankful note to all the volunteers who helped that night.

April 2, 2023

Take a well deserved pat on the back for your contribution to yesterday’s Nomadic Shelter hospitality and dinner.

Each of you provided welcome, warmth and nutrition to our guests.  One of the guests exclaimed “you have then best food”  I am sure that included the food for the soul felt by many of us too.

A first on the evening’s menu was a spontaneous treat from Karen Borgfeldt of hot terry towels for a facial refresh. Originally brought as possible use i the kitchen, Karen recalled another shelter event in Petaluma she had volunteered for.  Karen made a connection with a weary guest accepting a towel, and soon more were accepted.  A gift shared spread God’s love!

Dakota, thanks for being our disc jockey.

Thank you all!  ~Betsy Randolph

Our Visit with Bishop Megan & Canon Julie
Left: Bishop Megan, Acolyte Dakota Borgfeldt, Canon Julie Wakeleee, and Priest in Charge, the Very Rev. Ed Howell. Dakota will be part of the delegation of youth from our diocese attending the Episcopal Youth Event in Baltimore this July. Right: Bishop Megan and Canon Julie were welcomed to a lovely coffee hour following worship.
Dear St. Patrick’s Family,

After meeting with Bishop Megan Traquair and Canon Julie Wakelee this past Sunday, March 26th, the Vestry is pleased to announce that we have reached a formal agreement with Father Ed to be our Priest-in-Charge. A  Letter of Agreement indicates that Father Ed will be working for St. Patrick’s parish during the coming year on a regular basis as he has been over the past several weeks. Unfortunately, Canon Mary is no longer able to be with us due to health issues, and we continue to pray for her to be well.
For those of you who may ask “When will a search committee be appointed to look for a new rector?” please understand that, as a parish in transition, we are not in a position to look for a new priest, but rather need to be most grateful to have the expertise and spiritual guidance of Father Ed during this time of change. We are so very blessed that having Father Ed with us as Priest-in-Charge will allow us to have the continuity and stability we need during this time of transition.
Thank you for your prayers for Father Ed, St. Patrick’s and the Vestry.

Jackie Senter, Senior Warden

Blessings Bags

St. Patrick’s again showed its commitment to helping those in need in our community.  In March we donated 40 Blessing Bags, one of our largest in some time.
When we arrived at The Redwood Gospel Mission on 6th St. in Santa Rosa two men from the staff came out to lift all those heavy bags.  Thanks to all of you who have packed Blessing Bags!  Your effort has given 40 people meals when otherwise they would likely go hungry.
The next deadline for Blessing Bags is April 9, Easter Sunday, thesecond Sunday of the month.  You are welcome to drop them at our house any day before April 4. After that please leave them in the Narthex in the box provided.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (408)981-2024.  Betsy Randolph
