Bike Month calls for Bike to Work Day in Downtown
May is National Bike Month and the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) is celebrating with month-long programming. Celebrate Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 19 with a group ride finishing at Bicentennial Park where riders will find fun programming starting at 7:45am and enjoy a complimentary coffee from Junction Coffee, courtesy of Downtown OKC Partnership. Mark your calendars and help raise awareness of bicycling for fun, fitness, and transportation all month long.

Downtown Employee Appreciation Day is returning to Kerr Park on Wednesday, May 24 from 11am to 2pm! Join Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership for a lunchtime event in the park featuring free popsicles from Wondervan Pops, live music, lawn games, and booths by various downtown organizations and services. Purchase your lunch from one of the food trucks (or bring your own!) and learn more about the different amenities available to downtown employees. Join the Myriad Gardens every Thursday from 11am-2pm during the month of May for the POP-UP Garden Café on the Sheridan Lawn. Taste fresh eats from local food trucks while listening to soothing live music surrounded by a garden in full bloom. Grab your coworkers and friends and enjoy local food trucks, listen to live music, and play a game of chess while surrounded by the gardens in full bloom.

ArtAfloatOKC set to return with the 3rd annual concert series
ArtAfloatOKC will host its 3rd annual Showboat Concert Series every Thursday evening from May 4 to June 29. Join Oklahoma-based musicians live (on a boat!) for an ArtAfloatOKC Showboat Concert Series performance. Two 45-minute showtimes will be available each night at 7:30pm and 8:30pm. All net proceeds benefit ArtAfloatOKC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing more artistic interventions to the Bricktown Canal area.

Celebrate Cinco De Mayo with the OKC Hispanic Chamber

Full Moon Bike Rides return this Spring at Myriad Gardens
Set out on a one-hour sunset bike ride throughout downtown Oklahoma City with the Myriad Gardens' monthly Full Moon Bike Ride returning Friday, May 5 at 8:30pm. Gather at the Seasonal Plaza in the northeast corner of the Gardens and ride together. Through Bricktown or down the Oklahoma River to the Wheeler District Ferris Wheel, this is a great way to tour with many others alongside you. Don't have a bike? Rent from RideOKC or Spokies.

The annual Volkswagen show will be hosted in downtown district known for automobile history
Every year the VW Club of Oklahoma takes over 8th Street in Automobile Alley to host VDubs on Auto Alley, an event where they fill the streets with new and vintage Volkswagens. Join the party this Saturday, May 6 from 8am-3pm. Spend your day in Automobile Alley and check out the cars while visiting local businesses and restaurants in the district.
