Defending my Dissertation

I just defended my dissertation titled On the Transmigration of the Arab Soul: A Case Study in Contemporary Composition at Columbia University, which marks the end of 24th grade!

Tasalsul I debuts on album "Twofold"

Flautist Brandon Patrick George will debut my Tasalsul I at Lincoln Center on May 4, 2023 at 7:30pm. The piece is part of his "Twofold" album which pairs contemporary composers with old favorites for the flute. My piece is paired with C.P.E. Bach's Sonata in A Minor.

Right this moment, I'm in the final stretch of composing a 6' work for ensemble hand werk, which is my first time really figuring out how rhythm plays into my work... we'll see how it goes.
