Volunteer Appreciation Lunch

In honour of National Volunteer Week (April 16-23), iSisters hosted a volunteer appreciation lunch on April 21 to celebrate the stellar work of those who have committed their valuable time and energy to supporting our cause.

The event featured great company, good food and some terrific door prizes. Board Chair, Claire Toplis, was on hand to personally thank our volunteers. iSisters founder Cathy Lewis was unable to attend, but recorded a heartfelt thank you video. Click below to view.

Our lucky attendees also walked away with an attractive iSisters tote bag.

Special thanks to the generous donors of the door prizes, including John Cundell Stables for his donation of a horse drawn carriage ride in the Byward Market, and Jamie Copley for his Rideau Carleton Race Experience.

From all of us at iSisters, Thank You to all our volunteers!

Spotlight on Partners

The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) is a national not-for-profit organization that exists to promote and support meaningful and equitable employment of persons with disabilities.

CCRW offers job search assistance, employer incentives, accommodation assessments, consulting services, and a variety of workshops. Additionally, they provide a range of services for employers, from consulting, to hiring and retention, and disability confidence training.

Whether you are a job seeker living with a disability or an employer looking to tap into a talented pool of candidates, CCRW will partner with you to meet your unique needs and help you succeed.

iSisters is pleased to offer our basic skills program to support the women participants at CCRW.
