Mother Earth Day Returns
May 13 at Firemen's Park

Mother Earth Day, presented by PenFinancial Credit Union, is returning to Firemen’s Park in Niagara Falls (2275 Dorchester Road) on Saturday, May 13! This year’s free admission event includes a tree giveaway, environmental demonstrations, food & drinks and activities for the whole family!

Interested in volunteering? Join the team to help with various tasks throughout the day. Youth and students are welcome!

Track wildlife observations with iNaturalist until May 1st

Calling all nature lovers in Niagara Falls! Join us in our friendly competition against the City of St. Catharines in this year's City Nature Challenge.

This challenge allows residents to enjoy nature while making important discoveries to help scientists better understand and protect the natural environment!

How to participate:

  1. Sign up or log into your free account at https://iNaturalist.ca or through the iNaturalist app.
  2. Take photos of plants and wildlife and upload them to iNaturalist during the event from April 28th to May 1st. Your observations will be automatically added!

A royal celebration: May 6

Join us to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and The Queen Consort with a classic afternoon tea at the Niagara Falls History Museum (5810 Ferry Street), with 11 am and 3 pm sittings. Savour delicious treats and aromatic teas while we take in the pageantry at Westminster Abbey.

We want to see you in your royal attire, so polish that tiara, throw on a top hat or wow us with your fascinator.

humanNature, an in-house exhibition at the Niagara Falls History Museum (5810 Ferry Street), features objects from the Museum collection, local art, and photography to help us think of our impact and our place on Earth as just one of many species.

  • Prophecy Beadwork Art by Samuel Thomas, Cayuga Nation

In partnership with the City of Niagara Falls, Tennis Clubs of Canada is constructing an air-inflated dome over the tennis courts at John N. Allan Park, providing an indoor space for residents to play tennis during the fall and winter months.

Summer Company
The Niagara Falls Small Business Enterprise Centre is accepting applications for the Ontario Summer Company program! Students who are between the ages of 15 and 29 and returning to school in the Fall can qualify for a $3,000 grant to run a summer business! Students will also benefit from advice and mentorship from local business leaders.

Aqua Cycling at MacBain Community Centre
MacBain Community Centre now offers Aqua Cycling classes. We use specially designed bike frames which sit stationary at the bottom of the pool. Sitting half out of the water, your legs pedal away, enjoying the benefits of underwater exercise.
