The Harmony of Springtime
at the Skagit Community Foundation
This is one of the most treasured times of year at the Skagit Community Foundation.

It is a special experience to work in partnership with Donor Advised Fundholders, generous members of our local community, and the SCF Board of Directors to fulfill this year's grant requests.

At the same time, Scholarship Committees are gathering to read heartwarming applications from local students seeking to further their careers through higher education.

Many of these decisions happen around the kitchen table. Each caring person and family brings their own perspective in how we can support a flourishing Skagit Valley. Donors and Scholarship Committees use their wisdom, experience, and what speaks to their heart to make their selections. We are here to help and to answer questions along the way.

They say you can't whistle a symphony, you need all parts of the orchestra to play it. Each grant award is composed from the generosity and legacies of the people and families who partner with the Skagit Community Foundation.

We are grateful for your partnership and the collective impact we create by working together.
- Maddy MacKenzie, Executive Director
The Anacortes Women's Giving Circle held their annual voting and grantmaking meeting this spring, where members heard presentations from five finalist organizations serving youth education on Fidalgo Island.

The three organizations who received the most votes were awarded grants, thanks to the growing generosity of Anacortes Women's Giving Circle members.
