Discernment Team Update

The St. Matthew's Discernment Team is continuing to meet with small groups in listening sessions over the next few weeks. The goal of these sessions is to hear from the congregation as we go through the process of discerning God’s will for our church as it relates to our affiliation with the United Methodist Church. Below are all current dates known for small group meetings.

4/26/23: WNL in the Sanctuary at 6:00 pm

4/30/23: United Methodist Men (7:30 am);

More than Friends (During SS hour);

Faith Chasers (During SS hour);

Lifelinks (During SS hour)
5/2/23: Men of Faith (6:00 pm)

5/3/23: WNL in the Sanctuary at 6:00 pm

5/7/23: Seekers (During SS hour)

5/8/23: United Women in Faith(6:00 pm)

5/21/23: Roundtable (During SS hour);

Fellowship(Anne Moore) (During SS hour)

If you know you will miss your groups time you are also welcome to come during the Wednesday Night Live activity hour (6–7 PM) in the sanctuary on 4/26 and 5/3.

The team invites you to pray with us for God’s guidance in this important decision and, in particular, during a church-wide day of prayer and discernment that will be held May 17. The Church will open at 8 AM on this day for individual prayer, concluding with a congregational time of prayer at 6 PM. Nursery will be available at 6PM.
