National Women’s Health Research Initiative
There is a new funding opportunity for biomedical discovery grants in collaboration between the Canadian Institute of Health Research, Institute of Gender and Health, and Women and Gender Equality Canada. It is anticipated that $2,000,000, will be available to fund approximately 13 discovery grants. It will be focused on studies in women’s health. 2023 International Joint Initiative for Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Competition
This initiative represents a collaboration among research funders from different countries to leverage international expertise to tackle the global challenges caused by climate change. Sex Differences in Radiation Research
The Office of Research on Women’s Health has a new funding opportunity for early-stage research to better understand the underlying causes of radiation-associated sex differences. These inherent sex differences can potentially contribute to differences in radiation sensitivity, efficacy of mitigation, as well as biomarkers of radiation injury and recovery.
