Intergenerational Sunday School

For Sunday School this Sunday, Apr 30, everyone has an opportunity to learn from each other. This is an intergenerational activity, meaning everyone from age 3 to 100 - or more! Don't worry, you don't have to teach. We are going to explore, learn and play with each other. Christian Ed and Brandy have worked hard on this. Come be part of the fun! Everyone will be talking about it, and you don't want to be left out. See you in Andover Hall at 9:30 this Sunday!!

Spring Work Day

You're invited to join the Board of Facilities for a Spring Work Day on Saturday, May 6 beginning at 9am. We will be cleaning out a basement storage room, moving shelving units, and taking donations to Habitat Restore and Salvation Army. Possibly doing more organizing in our custodial closet. We may also have some outside tasks. Trucks, gloves, masks all welcome. Heavy lifting involved but we also need cheerleaders. Questions? Get in touch with Anne Fredrickson, PO of Facilities.

20 years of Open and Affirming

On May 11, 2003 our congregation's Open and Affirming statement was unanimously adopted. We think 20 years of being ONA is something to celebrate! We invite you to join us for a special worship service on Sunday, May 14th with a joyful fellowship hour to follow.

Updating Our Directory

We are currently moving to a new church database and will be launching an updated church directory sometime this summer. 🛻 Everyone in our current directory will be moved over and if you’re NOT in the directory yet, we’d like to add you! 📸 We would also like to update everyone’s photos.

Please click here to update your preferences/photos.

You can also contact the church office if the online form isn’t your thing.

Graduate Recognition

The Graduation season has arrived! We would like to recognize all our graduates. If you are graduating or have a family member who is soon to be a graduate: high school, college, technical college, graduate school, or any other, please let the office know soon so that we may properly honor our 2023 graduates. We would like to feature the accomplishments of our graduates in the June church newsletter. Drop off
information at the church office or e-mail it to office@uccmanhattan.org.
This week we give thanks for...
our Church Clerks. These two volunteers keep us organized by taking minutes at our monthly Council meetings, as well as at our congregational meetings that happen several times a year. They also keep track of our membership records, baptisms, weddings, and deaths in our congregation. We are grateful for their attention to detail.

Thank you for Being the Church!
