~ APRIL 2023 ~

                    Message from your
                    Blue Blazer Chairman

                    Brian Cooper

It’s hard to believe April is behind us and summer is upon us! As my Vice-Chair Julie Calza mentioned last month, access to the base is a privilege, not a right, which is something that we all need to remember. We are not saying you cannot come to base however, you need to notify Brooke or Susan that you are coming to base in writing (email is preferred) when you are coming to base when it is not a BBS or FCF event. We are an amazing group of people. As our group expands, following this required protocol and remembering we get to be part of the greatest fighter wing in the world is our responsibility.
On to the great stuff! The 14th annual HCC golf tournament is right around the corner, and it’s another sold out year! Tee-sign sponsorships are a great way to support this event and the cut-off is May 5th so get your emails out as soon as possible, we are having a friendly class competition to see who can get the most and Delta class is currently in the lead. This is one of our biggest volunteer opportunities so all hands-on deck, please use the sign-up link that will come out this week to volunteer May 19th .
For those of you who were able to make the Air Force Academy charge, words cannot do the experience justice. We were graciously invited by Lieutenant General Clark and Chief Master Sergeant Kwiatkowski to see the USAFA behind the scenes. Not only did we see how the cadets arrive, but where they stay, learn, and eat. We also had a surprise visitor Major General Leonard, past commander of the 56th FW with Chief K. joined us twice. Hopefully those of you who couldn’t make it are available when the next charge is announced. Thanks again to Ron, Brooke and those who made this charge possible and special thanks to Kirk McClure for the tour of the USAFA Chapel under construction.

~ Camo Cup for a Cause ~
Looking for a great way to support Fighter Country Foundation as well as one of our amazing partners, Rudy's BBQ? Here is how...
Starting May 1st, head out to your local Rudy's BBQ and purchase a Camo Cup for a Cause benefiting Fighter Country Foundation. Also, spread the word to friends, family and on social media.

Once you have your cup, take a selfie and send it to
Brooke or Susan so we can continue to make posts of this amazing campaign all month.
