County Chair Corner

Aloha Honolulu County Patriots,

The frenzy of preparing the proposed rules changes continued this week. There are so many necessary modifications but so little time left to make them that we’re working long hours with a lot of debate to get strong proposals ready for the Delegates to discuss and vote on. Sincere thanks to the entire Rules Team for taking on this monumental task. A special hat-tip goes out to Boyd Ready for organizing this effort and running very professional, effective committee meetings!

I’m excited to announce that Regional Vice Chair Nolan Chang is organizing a Video Production team! His vision is to get our members certified through Olelo and to then serve as key resources to create training materials and perhaps even assist candidates with their campaigns. This is a key requirement to building a stronger Party and winning more seats, so I hope many people will volunteer to help! Contact Nolan directly at nolan.chang88@gmail.com.

Stay Vigilant against cyber crime! We experienced a recent attack where the scammers posed as me and upon reply asked folks to purchase gift cards. The last phase would have been to ask to pass the gift card codes via email, at which point the money would have vanished. Please call, text, or email me if you’re ever suspicious about something I’ve sent out.

The County Committee meeting is on for tomorrow at 10:00am. Zoom Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82791163756?pwd=eUFmT085RlZZb1B6amlBM1oyUVdIQT09

All the Best,
Steve

County Spotlight

Aloha Team!

We have so many people pushing hard across the county to improve our State and our Party. I want to periodically spotlight this great work as a way to thank those folks and also encourage others to get involved.

This week’s spotlight is on Corinne Solomon!

For me and I’m sure most of you, Corinne’s name is synonymous with “Election Integrity.” Ensuring that our elections are conducted honestly and truly represent the will of the people should not be a partisan issue, as it is the very basis of our Constitutional Republic, but somehow it seems to have become just that.

Corinne works closely with a core team who together have been instrumental in raising election integrity awareness across the state. She coordinated the Seth Keshel events so we could learn ways to help secure our elections. She takes time to educate our legislators on issues with the transparency and security of our elections, and the team is now crafting bills focused on election integrity for next session.

In addition, she also gathers election data and records through public records requests and forwards it for analysis by off-island entities, accomplishing some analyses on her own.

Corinne’s work is instrumental in helping us all understand the potential vulnerabilities in our current system and should pave the path to more secure elections in the future.

Everyone interested in helping Corinne with this monumental task is invited to contact her at Auditthevotehawaii@protonmail.com.

Thank you Corinne! Steve

(Help me “catch people doing great things!” Please email me your observations as you see great things happening on Oahu! steve.lipscomb@outlook.com)

Please Kokua!
