We're gearing up for Summer Reading 2023, All Together Now!
Running from June 5 - July 28, we will have programs available for both kids and adults that focus on community, kindness, and helping others.
There will be reading challenges, activities, crafts, and lots of PRIZES!
Join us for an all ages kick-off party at the
Larry R. Jackson Branch on Saturday, June 3rd @ 10 am.
Adults and teens who attend can earn a ticket for our one of our end-of-summer grand prize drawings.

April showers brings macramé May flowers! In these guided workshops, adults ages 18 and up are invited to create a beautiful macramé floral piece each week, celebrating the spring season.
All supplies will be provided.

Take & Make Adult Craft Kits

Get crafty in the comfort of your own home! Each month will feature a different project that includes instructions and supplies.
Take-home kits are for ages 18+.
Registration is required and opens Monday, May 8 at 9 am.
Choose to pick-up your craft from any of our Lakeland Libraries. Kits can be picked up any time on Monday, May 15.
Kits not picked up by 7 pm on Thursday, May 18 will be given to the next available registrant.

Lakeland History and Culture Center
at the Lakeland Public Library
Opened on September 8, 2022, the Lakeland History and Culture Center features a 1400 square foot exhibit space dedicated to telling the many stories of our community.
The current exhibit, Ties That Bind: 1880-1925, Lakeland's Formative Years, showcases the early days of Lakeland's founding and incorporation, as well as the role of the railroads in helping to build and develop the area.
