Sustainable Silicon Valley is thrilled to announce CARB Director Davina Hurt as the keynote speaker for the  Air Quality & Sustainable Mobility workshop (AQSM23) on May 23rd at the Mitchell Park Center in Palo Alto. 
In 2020, Davina was appointed to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) by Governor Gavin Newsom and confirmed by the California Senate in 2021. She is also the San Mateo County cities representative to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District Board (BAAQMD), where she serves as Vice-Chair of the board and Chair of the Community Equity, Health, and Justice Committee. Davina is working to improve the quality of life for the many communities she represents in air quality, transportation, consumer affairs, and the climate while serving with integrity, distinction, compassion, and respect for the many voices in our communities. Davina Hurt is a proud e-bike owner, attorney, vice mayor, environmental advocate, AI enthusiast, and two-term councilwoman.

Given Director Davina Hurt’s background and experience, she is uniquely qualified to kick off the Air Quality & Mobility and set the stage for the workshop which focuses on the intersection of air quality and sustainable mobility.
