Restorative Practices: A Deep Dive Learning about Restorative Practices is important, but experiencing them firsthand is transformative. The impact of proactive community building Restorative Practices work is powerful, meaningful, and accessible to all educators. We invite you to join us this month to experience the work internally, before bringing it to students in the classroom. In the first hour of our session, volunteers (with support from Ali) will help guide participants through a Circle Experience. The second hour will explore what folks have been doing in the RP space, and consider systems and barriers that prevent us from achieving intended outcomes. The final hour will be spent looking at resources and considering action steps towards strengthened implementation from any phase in the process. In our Community of Practice, participants can expect to: Connect and network with colleagues Explore critical features of Restorative Practices Gain tools, strategies, and resources

  • Regional Events
  • Webinars
  • Site Visits
  • Phone Consultation
  • Communities of Practice

WHAT IS A COMMUNITY SCHOOL?

Using schools as hubs, community schools bring educators, families, and community partners together to offer a wide range of opportunities, supports, and services to students, as well as their families and communities.

Community schools:
  • Provide expanded learning opportunities that are motivating and engaging during the school day, after school, and in the summer
  • Offer integrated health and social supports and services
  • Engage families and communities as assets in the lives of their children
