Raffle tickets for an Oculus 2 headset or a Pizza Party for your student’s lunch table will be available at the event for $5 each (cash only).

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week – May 1-5: Looking for local co-sponsors

May 1 kicks off Teacher Appreciation week at CHMS. We appreciate our teachers and staff every day, but this week gives us a special opportunity to say thank you for all our teachers and staff for what they do to support our students. We are finalizing plans for a teacher thank you each day and are looking for local sponsors who may be interested in partnering with the Teacher Appreciation Committee of the CHMS PTO to provide lunch or breakfast for the teachers during the week of May 1–5. Specifically, we are looking for local sponsors who would be willing to co-sponsor a food truck for the teachers or a catered breakfast. Your business will be included in the CHMS PTO newsletter so the community can recognize your donation.

If this is something you are interested in learning more about, please contact Melanie Barnes (bonnem05@yahoo.com) or Dorothy Foster (dcbellock@yahoo.com) by Wednesday, April 19.

Join the CHMS Wellness House Walk Team on May 7th

The Wellness House in Hinsdale provides support services to cancer patients and their families/friends/caregivers free of charge. This year, we’ve formed a team as part of their Walk to Wellness fundraiser in honor of our CHMS music teacher and musical director, who is battling a rare form of ovarian cancer. Elaine Bennington is passionate, supportive and one of the best teachers and mentors you could ever ask for.

If you would like to support our team, donations to the Wellness House in honor of Mrs. Bennington can be made here: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/wfwh2023/team/920927/
