Current COVID-19 Guidance

If your child tests positive for COVID-19, 5 days of isolation is recommended. Individuals may return any time during days 6-10 if their symptoms are largely resolved and fever-free without the use of medication. It is also recommended that a mask be worn on days 6-10. Each school is required to report all communicable diseases to the Kent County Health Department (KCHD). If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please notify your building administrator. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe!

Students are issued “Way to Go” cards for demonstrating Respect, Responsibility or Personal Best by doing the right thing!  As students receive these cards, they are placed in the container located in the Main Office. Every Friday, names are drawn and announced during the afternoon announcements.  Each student selected, has the opportunity to pick a prize from the prize basket simply as a way to say “Thanks, we appreciate and recognize you!”

Our winners for this week are:

Bella Remes, 6th Grade
Weston Leete, 7th Grade
Arlo VanDis, 8th Grade

The print version of the EGRSF’s newsletter, “Foundations,” came home in Friday folders last week. It’s full of articles about some of the many opportunities our donors are providing for our students and schools. There’s also an online version of “Foundations” on the publications page of our website

And, if you were able to get tickets to our fundraiser of the year, “Hurrah: Adventure Awaits,” before we had to cut off sales, it’s this Saturday from 7-11pm on Wege Plaza behind the library. It’s going to be a great night for a great cause in the great outdoors! Food, fun, friends, flannel, fleece, fundraiser for the kids.

EGR families are invited to join Cinderella on her journey of "happily ever after" in the classic story ballet on April 29th at 1pm and 4:30 pm at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center. Be mesmerized by student performers from Forest Hills Public Schools and around West Michigan as they take the stage to tell of a young girl’s rags-to-riches fairy tale, which would not be complete without the mischievous stepsisters, a dazzling ball, and a dashing prince!

Join us for Cinderella's Tea at 11am. Meet and greet Cinderella and other cast members and get an up-close look at their amazing costumes. Tea sandwiches and sweet treats will be served. Crafts for the kids and everyone will leave the tea with a souvenir.

Don't let the clock run out on your opportunity to wear your favorite fairy tale outfit with someone special!
