Hi Friend-

Whoomp, here it is! Party people! The Tuesday Market is back in town and it will be bigger, bolder and more delicious than ever. An incredible ensemble of farm, food, flower, body care, craft, jewelry and art vendors will be filling the plaza all season long. Many of your favorites are returning along with many soon-to-be favorites. Take a good look at the vendor list and start getting excited.

Just like those runners in Boston today, our farmers have been preparing for a 30 week Tuesday Market Marathon. As have the Grow Food Northampton Staff, signing up dozens of the areas top vendors, musicians, and generous local business sponsors to support our ever-growing SNAP Match program which helps make nutritious food accessible to all. Please spend some time reviewing the list of sponsors at the bottom of this email. We truly couldn't run this program without them.

We're delighted to welcome back Kingfisher Duo who perform from 2-6pm. It has become a sweet tradition for them to open the market season with us.

Lastly, one beloved vendor who will not be returning this season is Wingate Farm. But there is a sweet reason why, and they have penned a love letter of sorts which appears toward the bottom of this newsletter. And, fear not, their chicken eggs will be carried by Cricket Creek Farm this season!

Whew, that was a lot. I'll try not to be so wordy in the future. Please enjoy hearing from the vendors below.

See you at the market!

A special message from Wingate Farm:

Dear beloved Tuesday Market customers,

With delight we have welcomed another little person into our farm family! Lloyd is already a joy and is adding endless wonder to our, and baby Elvin’s everyday.

Due to the timing of his arrival, and with a lot of processing, we have had to make the extremely difficult decision to take this season off from growing and selling our vegetables at our farmers markets. We would not have planned on things happening in this order, but, with limited financial resources, and our expanding family, we feel that this is the most responsible route.

Fortunately, Cricket Creek will be selling our eggs from their farm stand all season long!

I want to tell you all directly how grateful we are for your continued support year after year for the past 7 years. You, our invaluable customers, are the reason we  do what we do and show up week after week. It is a true pleasure that will be greatly missed, even if it is only for one season. Thank you, thank you. With any luck, we will be back in 2024 in full swing (with two wild farm boys in tow) :)

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2023!

Olivia
