RONDO CLT'S FEATURED BOARD MEMBER:
Kathleen Castle
|
|
April's featured Rondo CLT Board Member is Kathleen Castle! When asked why she decided to join our board, she notes:
"Having worked at the municipal and county government levels, I became aware of the difficulties people face in securing safe and affordable housing. I was drawn to the land trust model because it addresses the issue of social inequality with respect to home ownership. It is my belief that everyone should have access to home ownership opportunities and benefit from the wealth-building it can provide. Furthermore, it is also important to maintain affordability in the long-term so people can continue to have the opportunity to become a homeowner.
Serving on RCLT has allowed me to contribute to the Rondo and Ramsey County communities. Throughout my years of service, I have worked with talented board members and staff who share the same passion for affordable housing. Over the past year, it has been exciting to be part of a renewed vision for the land trust. There is much work to be done and I am confident the Land Trust with the talented Board and staff members will be able to accomplish the organization's goals and continue to be an asset for the community."
Thank you, Kathleen, for all the support you provide our board.
