SKCC Newsletter Autumn Edition

Hello and welcome to the St Kilda Cycling Club's Autumn Newsletter!
We are stoked to have successfully completed our admittedly short racing season. A big thank you goes out to the outgoing CEO of the AGPC, Andrew Westacott, and his team for their support, along with Parks Vic, our own Adam McGillivray, and the many volunteers who helped make it all possible.
As noted below, we are on the lookout for a new sponsorship committee member. If you've never had such a role, don't be put off! You'll receive lots of support, and it's a great opportunity to add a new string to your bow.
Behind the scenes, we've been hard at work on securing a permanent club location. More news on that situation will be coming later in the year, so stay tuned!
Congratulations to Guin and the training ride crew for their excellent work in bringing new rides to our members as part of a test that has been very favourably received by sheer numbers alone.
And lastly, a huge congratulations to the multitude of SKCC members competing locally and internationally, from masters to the World Tour. We are immensely proud to have you as part of our club.
That's all for now, folks

Nationals Results
Congratulations to our members who participated in the National Championships in Ballarat. We had some fantastic results in the team time trial, team criterium and the gran fondo. In the team events we managed a total of 13 podiums and 7 national champions. We had the highest club representation for any club at the event and even managed a good write up on the AusCycling website.
The gran fondo took place on the Saturday afternoon to tackle up to 5 laps of the Buninyong course. There were also some great results with numerous podiums and top ten results in their respective categories.

Crit Results: Grand Prix Round
The St Kilda Cycling Club hosted the Grand Prix round of our Crit series over the weekend of March 18th and 19th, which marked the end of three weeks of exciting racing. In total, we had an impressive 477 riders participating across all categories over the course of the series.
We want to extend a huge congratulations to all the riders who participated in the Crit series. Whether you finished on the podium or just enjoyed the experience of racing, we are proud of you and grateful for your contribution to the series' success.
Finally, a special shoutout to the winners in each category. Your hard work, dedication, and talent were evident in your performances, and you deserve all the recognition and applause that you received. To see the full race results head to:

New Fees Structure
We have some exciting news to share with all our members! We're thrilled to announce that we have revised our fee structure to make it even more accessible and affordable for everyone. Starting from December 1st, 2022, our new fees structure is now in effect, and we're sure you'll be thrilled with the changes we've made.
We understand that affordability can be a significant barrier to participation in sports, so we've taken steps to make sure that everyone can be a part of our cycling community. That's why we've dropped the price of our lifestyle membership to an incredibly low $25, making it even easier to join and participate in all the fantastic events and activities that we have planned for the upcoming year.
But that's not all - we've also made it completely free for kids to join our club. We believe that getting young people involved in cycling is crucial, and we don't want cost to be a barrier to their participation. By making our kids' membership free, we hope to encourage more young people to take up cycling and develop a love for this fantastic sport.
We're incredibly excited about these changes to our fees structure, and we hope that they will make a real difference to our members.
