BCSU's Monthly Prayer Update
Informing you about the ministry of BCSU,
so that you will know how to pray for us.

Christ is risen!

We are grateful to once again celebrate the reason for all of the hope in our lives - Jesus Christ is alive! Several of the student groups in the country used the holiday to invite their colleagues to hear the good news of God's great love for humanity. Our events were filled with joy, ice-breaking games, challenges related to the holiday and interactive messages about the meaning of the Resurrection of Christ. After the event, some of the students shared that they invited their friends (about 8 people) to the next Bible study coming up this week and there are already students who have responded positively to the invitation. We would love for you to support us in prayer for these students and the opportunity to answer their questions or spark their curiosity even more in the coming weeks. Christ is risen!

Leadership days in BCSU

In addition to the one-on-one meetings we have with the student leaders in the movement, midway through each semester we hold one-day regional leadership trainings to nurture them as a learning community together. This spring, one event was held at BCSU's office in Sofia (photo above left) for the leaders from Sofia and Plovdiv, and the second - in Varna (photo above right) for the leaders from Varna, Burgas and Veliko Tarnovo. The trainings were not identical, but both included the theme of the evangelism and how to make witness a natural part of our lives.

Here's what two of the new participants had to say:

"This leadership day helped me understand and realize that God sent me to Veliko Tarnovo to meet me with BSCU. The training gave me many ideas on how to communicate and evangelize my non-believing friends." Mihaela Rumenova, student in Veliko Tarnovo

"The leadership day was very useful for me! It was very well organized and helped me understand what is required of a leader and how best to conduct Bible studies. The examples and experiences related to evangelism that Silas mentioned with the international students were very useful for me." Elena Piperkova, student in Plovdiv
One of the greatest encouragements for us is hearing how different students apply the Word in their lives and share their faith with their colleagues, friends, professors and relatives. And it is even more wonderful to hear testimonies of the fruit of it! Let's pray for the people who heard the good news from the students this semester.
The first joint meeting of the participants in the mentoring program of BCSU "Barnabas" was held this month. We are grateful for their dedication and ministry and the growth we see in their lives!

Pray for:

  • the remaining months until the end of the semester, in which students will organize many meetings and events for the purpose of evangelism.
  • the preparation and holding of the last "Barnabas" conference.
  • the preparation and registration for our Summer Project "Who will you be?".
  • the financial stability of the movement.
  • the overall blessing of the ministry and God's work in the lives of students in BCSU.
Give to the ministry of BCSU!
