2023 Day of Dialogue & Action


An illustrated icon of the face of Brookings Hall. The 2023 Day of Dialogue & Action presented by Here and Next will feature in-person experiences from keynote speakers, panel discussions, and more. The event will take place today Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 9:00 am in Emerson Auditorium on WashU’s Danforth Campus. Overflow seating will take place in Frick Forum, and YouTube Livestream is available for virtual attendees.

Japanese and Korean Studies Librarian Mitsutaka Nakamura is departing for a position at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. Mitsutaka's last day is tomorrow, Friday, April 28. Please wish Mitsu a fond farewell by signing the digital goodbye card by end of day today, Thursday, 27 April.

In celebration of Mitsutaka's time with Washington University, University Libraries staff is invited to join the students, faculty, and staff from the East Asian Languages and Cultures department for a farewell party.

The in-person party will be in Olin Library Room 142 tomorrow, Friday, April 28, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Remarks will begin at 2:20 pm. To plan for refreshments, please RSVP by accepting the meeting invitation sent via Outlook.

DevOps Engineer

Timothy Mooney transitioned into the role of DevOps Engineer in Library Technology Services on Monday,  April 24. Tim has contributed valuable efforts to the work of Library Technology Services as a term-limited DevOps engineer over this past spring. Timothy reports to interim Head of Library Technology Services Harriett Green and can be reached at mooneyt@wustl.edu. Congratulations, Tim! 

Timothy has over 20 years of relevant experience, including DevOps Engineer roles at Tata Consultancy Services, Refinitiv, and Thomson Reuters. Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in Systems and Data Processing from WashU.
