Our presbytery family

Larry Plank, long-time commissioned ruling elder (CRE) serving Navarre Presbyterian, has announced his plans to retire. He has said he plans to visit the congregation from time to time, and Tanya Fernandez, his co-pastor, will continue to serve. The congregation will celebrate his ministry and service after worship, led by General Presbyter Roy Martin, on Sunday, April 30.

► On Sunday, April 30, immediately following morning worship, Grace Presbyterian, Panama City, will offer a 5th Sunday lunch with pizza, ice cream, fellowship – and opportunities to "pie" the pastor, youth director, or a Scout master. $10 for a tart-size pie, $20 for a full-size pie. Proceeds will support the church youth and scouting programs at Grace.

Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church will be "Showin' up for the youth, Shinin' for the Lord" as they host a youth ministry benefit car and motorcycle show Saturday, May 6, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. CDT. The family-friendly event will include food, games, drawings and great rides in Best of Show, Top Motorcycle, Youth Choice, Top 1979 and Older, Top 1980 and Newer classes. Tickets pre-registration, before May 1, will be $15, then $20 the day of the show. Sign up at gbpresbyterian.org. Click here for a flyer.

► Last weekend, Dogwood Acres hosted an Open House for families to experience a taste of Summer Camp. If you didn't get to come but still have questions about the summer, contact DWA Program Director Eric Hearn. Spots are still open for every week of camp; learn more and register at dogwoodacres.org/summer. A team of talented summer staff has been assembled, but at least two more male counselors are needed. Weeks worked can be flexible if the candidates can't work the entire summer, but applicants do need to be over 18 and available for the last three weeks of the season. Click here for details.
