April is Celebrate Diversity Month

At the MPBHBA, we believe that a diverse business community is key to thriving business districts. Diversity in all forms, whether related to accessibility, age, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation, is something to be fostered, valued, and celebrated.

April is Celebrate Diversity Month, and offers a great opportunity for reflection as business owners and as individuals about the ways to be more inclusive. The MPBHBA invites all of our business members to spend time considering how to cultivate spaces that are inclusive and welcoming to our diverse community. We hope to help you in the process by sharing features on diversity, equity, and inclusion in our upcoming newsletters, as well as hosting seminars in the coming months.

Be Part of Black Business Month & Join the Black Business Owner Directory!

A group of Black business owners, plus the MPBHBA and 95th Street Business Association, have been meeting at AndySunflower Cafe to discuss ways we can collaborate and connect. Bar & Restaurants Invited to Support Police & ‘Paint the Town Blue’

Businesses can participate by selling CPMF stars to customers, donating a portion of sales to the foundation, or becoming a Paint the Town Blue sponsor.

Video Opportunity for Professional Services Businesses

Here’s a great promotional opportunity for Beverly/Morgan Park businesses that offer professional services—financial, specialty medical, legal, home health, marketing, or design work. The MPBHBA is collecting and filming short videos of business owners talking about their business and the services they provide. We will be sharing the resulting videos on social media in March and April as part of a “spend local” campaign, and on the MPBHBA YouTube channel, too..

Send the MPBHBA a short video or let the MPBHBA help film a video for you! Email Nora ASAP if you would like to be a part of this campaign.
