TE ATIAWA TAMARIKI GO WILD!

A big mihi to more than 160 of our whānau who joined us at the Go Wild Indoor Fun Park last Tuesday.
We had a fun-filled day with our Te Atiawa tamariki from the ball pit and the ninja course, to the BBQ and trampolines, our tamariki and whānau had lots to keep them busy all morning.
Some of our highlights of the day was kapahaka and the Tamariki vs Adults Dodgeball game. Ka mau te wehi Tamariki Mā!

NAU MAI HAERE MAI RAYMOND

Mā te huruhuru ka rere tēnei manu ki tōnā kōhanga o Te Kotahitanga o Te Ātiawa

Recently Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa held a whakatau for a very familiar face to many of our whānau across Taranaki.
Raymond Tuuta, pictured below, (Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Tama, Te Atiawa, Ngāti Maru, Taranaki Iwi, Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāi Tahu, Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, Ngāti Toa) has joined our team from Te Kāhui o Taranaki Iwi and is our new Pouwhakarite Pūtea Tautoko (Grants Manager).
He brings a wealth of experience to Te Kotahitanga and is looking forward to supporting and connecting with our Te Atiawa whānau and hapū.
Raymond is responsible for the management and distribution of nearly $1 million of annual grants on behalf of Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa and Te Atiawa Iwi Charitable Trust. This includes our Education Grants, Te Hononga Grants and Hapū Distributions.
This is a newly created community-focused role and we are excited to have Raymond on board.

REVISED RELEASE DATE

Te Kotahitanga o Te Atiawa recently engaged with those of our uri who registered their interest for our Pukekura - The Parade development. We also wanted to share this news with our broader Te Atiawa whānau.
At our property update last month we indicated a 14 April 2023 pre-market release to interested Te Atiawa uri.
We have taken the decision to delay this release by a few weeks. This delay will enable us to do further work to ensure we offer townhouses that meet your expectations, in terms of quality and price.
We will be holding a private event for our interested Te Atiawa members on Wednesday 31 May 2023. At this event we, along with the team at Bayleys Taranaki, will provide uri with the typologies being offered, full specifications and pricings. Those who cannot attend this event in person will be sent the information at that time.

For more information and to register your interest please contact the Bayleys team:

TE WHARE HONONGA OPENING

About 400 people gathered recently at the opening of the Taranaki Cathedral's Te Whare Hononga.
St Mary's Cathedral Dean Jay Ruka (Te Atiawa, Ngāti Mutunga) said it was the start of a new era for the church in Taranaki, to accept its history and look to the future.
Jay and the church worked closely with Ngāti Te Whiti hapū to ensure their kōrero was appropriately captured and weaved into the building design.
Congratulations to all involved in designing and building this beautiful whare.
