30% Shiraz, 20% Braucol, 24% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Duras.
Vibrant, dense, and dark ruby colour, intense fruit, black currant jam, caramel and chocolate hints, seductively intriguing, while the palate is perfectly pitched at the full end of medium-bodied, classical, and perfect in the everyday wine-drinking spectrum. Very Burgundian in aromas and general style and fantastic value-for-money.

Post-arrival price will be $26.95 per bottle. Today's pre-departure price is $21.95.

3. "L'Enclos de Virginie" Bordeaux red 2018. NEW to TOB.
100% Merlot. 50% aged in new French oak barrels. The Enclos de Virginie is both the name of the cuvée and the single vineyard estate that the wine comes from in Fronsac. Made by the celebrated Thunevin winemaking family.
Banging everyday Bordeaux from an outstanding vintage and with a nice degree of cellar-aged character starting to show. Mulberry and blackberry jam fruit, licorice and woodsmoke, pencil shavings and moroccan leather, while the palate is at the elegant end of full-bodied, textured and firm with gentle tannins that are mellowing nicely into middle age. Scored 92/100 by US über-critic James Suckling.
Drink now to 2028.
Post-arrival price will be $36.95 per bottle. Today's pre-departure price is $29.95.

4. Domaine Thunevin-Calvet  "L'Amourette" red wine from the Côtes du Roussillon Villages, vintage 2019. NEW to TOB.
60% Mourvèdre, 40% Grenache. Grown on flint-covered terraces overlooking the Mediterranean near to Maury. "Amourette" is a herb that grows wild in the vineyards of Maury.
Very ripe, powerful, and fruit-driven but dignified and nuanced with cheeky notes of cherries, blackberry, turkish delight, marzipan and fruit cake, while the palate is full-bodied, lavish in its generosity but pulls tight at the end with some serious grape tannin that keeps the finish savoury and food-friendly. Indulgent and very satisfying crowd-pleaser. Scored 93/100 by Rhône and Mediterranean expert Jeb Dunnuck.
Drink now to 2029.
Post-arrival price will be $39.95 per bottle. Today's pre-departure price is $32.95.

5. Château Palais Cardinal "Grand Vin" Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2019.
23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and balance is Merlot. From the deep sandy alluvial soils and gravels between the village of Saint-Émilion and the river Dordogne.
This is the top wine from Château Palais Cardinal. The fruit is laser focused here in the dark berry spectrum, rich and deep but not at all jammy, fresh and tight with savoury notes of wood smoke, smoked ham and clove-y/oaky spice, while the tannin is forged with the finest tannins, gently gripping, and long. At the full end of medium bodied but so finely structured, tall and statuesque. The liquid embodiment of elegance. Averages a score of 4.0 out of 5 across all vintages, from 1013 individual reviews on wine review app Vivino.

Drink now to 2035+
Post-arrival price will be $55.95 per bottle. Today's pre-departure price is $45.95.

6. Château Maucoil Châteauneuf-du-Pape red 2020. NEW vintage.
60% Grenache, 15% Shiraz, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault.
Guttural CNDP, muscular, pungently aromatic, with luscious fruit density. So boisterous in its youth that it's quite hard to pin down the nose that coruscates wildly between lashings of fruit weaving in and out of a dense halo of herbal, earthy, and woody perfumes, natural and expressive. Its body floods the mouth, full in breadth and depth, luscious and deep like velvet, smooth but swarthy, wild around the edges, and firm in its finish. A very big red from France's ultimate full-bodied capital. A beautiful estate up on the plateau-slopes of CNDP and well worth a visit if you're ever there. A magic spot and an unforgettable wine. Averages a score of 4.2 out of 5 across all vintages, from 5614 individual reviews on wine review app Vivino.
Drink now to 2035++

Post-arrival price will be $84.95 per bottle. Today's pre-departure price is $69.95.
