The entity "Justice Unites Savannah Together" is a network made up of congregations from around the Savannah-Chatham County area. Based on the example of Nehemiah in the Bible, they create an organized network of people calling on our local officials to make changes that will create justice in our community.

Justice Unites Savannah Together will hold a discussion called "Nehemiah Action" at the First African Baptist Church (23 Montgomery Street) on Monday, April 24th, at 7:00 pm. The discussion will be based on the Education Committee Report.  There will be FREE parking at the Civic Center.

If you were lucky enough to attend last month's Classics meeting, you heard guest speaker Oksana Posa speak about the war crimes being committed in Ukraine. An organization close to her heart, Savannah Supports Ukraine, needs our help! They are holding a Humanitarian Aid Donation Drive now through the month of May.  Items that are desperately needed include:

Non perishable food items
Basic hygiene supplies
First Aid supplies
Camping equipment/shelter

Oksana says, "Food is going directly to soldiers, who do not have much variety in their military rations! Adult diapers are badly needed and we welcome personal hygiene supplies like soap, toothpaste, and brushes."

Please consider donating to this most worthy support group. For a more complete list of needed items and more information about the drive, click on the button below.
