Marathon runs through campus this Sunday
The 2023 Mississauga Half Marathon will take place this Sunday, April 30. Egress to the UTM campus and to campus roadways will be affected between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. No vehicles are permitted on the campus roadways during the closure period. Peel Regional Police and Campus Community Police will be available to assist during this time. Mississauga Road south of Dundas Street West will remain closed beyond 9:30 a.m. Read more

Appointment
UTM’s Luke Barber has been seconded as U of T’s Acting Chief Operating Office from May 1 to Nov. 30
Since June 2021, Barber has led Facilities Management and Planning and Information and Instructional Technology Services, first on an interim basis and now as UTM’s inaugural Executive Director of Physical and Digital Infrastructure.
He and his teams have collaborated with colleagues across campus to manage a $415M portfolio of construction projects.
He held progressively senior positions over 18 years in I&ITS, including as the portfolio’s Director. His impact earned him the Chancellor’s Award for Emerging Leadership in 2021, one of U of T’s highest forms of staff recognition.
During Barber’s secondment, Ahmed Azhari will assume the leadership of the Facilities Management and Planning team.
