Creating essential habitat in our community for our vital & vulnerable pollinators
Call To Action:
We need your help to get the
New York Birds & Bees Protection Act
out of committee!

The New York State Birds and Bees Protection Act (A3226/S1856)—a nationally important bill to curb neurotoxic neonicotinoid pesticides (“neonics”) driving mass bee, bird, and other pollinator losses across the country—needs your help now!

As the end of the NYS legislative session quickly approaches, the bill remains stuck in the state Senate Environmental Committee, on which state Senator Hinchey is a critical vote. (For those who need a refresher on the bill, see the Pollinator Pathway coalition fact sheet or Zoom presentation from January). With enough local, vocal support, however, the bill should move forward.

That’s why we’re asking, as constituents of Senator Hinchey, could you make a call in support of the bill? A call script is linked below, and any questions about calling can be directed to Lena Faustel at LFaustel@gmail.com
