Summer Kick-Off | June 10 | 5:30 – 8:00 pm | FW Campus
Everyone’s welcome to kick-off summer at this family friendly event with food, inflatables, games, train rides, snow cones, and a homemade salsa contest. When the sun goes down, Viento Fuerte will host La Pasion, a live bilingual passion play depicting Jesus' death on the cross.

Mission Trip to Southern Asia | September 20-30, 2023
We're gathering a small team to visit Pastor A in his home country and serve alongside him as he spreads the Good News of Jesus. Our focus will be to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ in this country where the window of opportunity to share the Gospel is growing smaller and smaller. However you are gifted, God will use you on this trip. Cost: $2500 per adult

Pre-Teen Camp | June 21-24 | Pineywoods Camp
All current (2022/2023) 3rd-5th graders are invited to join us for Pre-Teen Camp this summer, June 21-24. You can register and pay by clicking here and completing the online registration. Cost is $315/per person. Final deadline to sign up and pay is May 12, but space is limited and fewer than 30 spots remain. Cost includes chartered buses to and from camp, all meals while at camp, four shirts, snacks, and more fun than your child can imagine. For the whole scoop, download this Parent Information Packet.
Mother's Day at The Well | May 14 | 8:15 am | Glass Room
The Well invites all mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms, foster moms, and mother figures to join us for a come and go event after both worship services. We will offer refreshments, a photo booth, and a time for us to honor you for the most important role you play in life.

Family Mission Trip to Beeville, TX | June 15-18
Come join us as we travel to Beeville, Texas to partner with the South Texas Children’s Home. We will minister to the kids and families who live there. In the morning, we plan to play games and lead devotionals with the younger children. In the evenings, we will fellowship and play games with the youth. Also, each evening, we will host a campus-wide meal for all the families. You will need to provide your own transportation and arrive by Wednesday evening, June 14. This mission trip is great for anyone of any age including families with kids. Cost: $100 per person / $300 per family
Global Partner Dinner: T Family | May 15 | 6:00 pm | The Venue
Church family, come hang out with the T Family and hear about all God is doing in the Middle East. They are currently in town with their two little girls, and they are excited to visit and share how FW is serving our world. Please email Lynn Brooks to let her know you won't miss it!
Wash + Pray | May 15
Come hang out at The Washtub Laundry on Hewitt Drive to bless the families there by praying with them, paying for their laundry, and providing some snacks. It's a simple way to meet needs in our community as we share the love of Jesus. Contact Lynn Brooks for more info.
Senior Recognition Sunday | May 21 | 9:30 + 11:00 am
The High School Graduating Class of 2023 will be recognized during both morning services, and our Youth Pastor, Matt McClure will be preaching. Invite your friends and family. Pack your tissues and party horns!
VBS Team Training + 10 People Still Needed | May 21 | 4:30 pm
If you are a VBS team member, you are welcomed and highly encouraged to join us for this time of learning and prayer for Vacation Bible School. Also – we only need 10 more adults (college and up) to be fully staffed for VBS! So awesome! If you've been thinking about it, go ahead and make the leap to serve. You'll be so glad you did. May Theme: Memorial Picnic Dinner
This May program will feature the posting of the colors, singing by Holly (Tucker) Brenner, and a special tribute given by Bob Hollingsworth. Dinner will be picnic-themed, with hamburgers (with all the trimmings), baked beans, homemade cookies and Blue Bell Ice Cream. Reservations with $10 payment are required. First Woodway Open | May 26
Sign-up Table in the Commons this Sunday
This annual golf tournament in support of high school mission trips is always a great day. Students are already working hard to raise the funds, but we need golfers! The cost is $75 per person for a round of golf (includes cart and drinks) and then lunch at the clubhouse at Cottonwood Creek Golf Club. Tee-off is at 8:30 am. You don’t have to be good, just ready to have a great time. Register online or on the app – and don’t worry if you can’t put together a foursome – we’ll put you on a team.

Stop by the Commons to pick up a free summer decal and check out all the great opportunities for women to enjoy life together this summer! We will also have some super cute merch available – ball caps and summer tees. You can sign-up for events beginning May 10. There is no cost to attend – except for the cost of the books for the Book Club – but you must sign up!

Join us this summer as we unpack truths from the Bible through stories, crafts, snacks, and games. Registration for VBS is now open to kids who currently attend First Woodway. On May 22, VBS registration will become available for others in our community. Registration closes on May 29, and no late registrations will be accepted. New Member Workshop | June 11 | 5:00-7:00 pm | The Venue
If you already know FW is your church home and want to make it official, or if you're just exploring and wanting to know more, we'd love for you to attend a New Member Workshop. It's a casual evening where we share dinner together, give you an overview of our core beliefs and values, talk a little bit about our operational structure, and answer any questions you have. Please sign-up online or on the app. (Childcare is provided for younger kids.)
Summer Date Nights | Thursdays, June 15 – 29 | 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Summer Date Nights are back! Come for a short teaching session in The Venue, then steal some kid-free time with your spouse to process what you just learned. Each week we will cover a different topic to enrich your marriage. The cost is free (childcare included!). Sign ups are now open, and you'll need to sign up for each night individually - on the app or website. Also note, the childcare deadline is the Sunday before each week, so don’t wait!
