Walk and Ride

Starting on May 8th and running on Thursdays until June 15th, students may participate in a supervised walk to school along the Wilder multi-use path.  Parents will be posted intermittently along the path to make sure that this is a safe experience for every child.  With that said, we could use a few more volunteers. If you are available to help out with Walk and Ride, please contact Rick Dustin-Eichler.

Drop-off is between 7:30 and 7:40 at Datamann in Wilder.

Children that get dropped off must be dressed for the weather.

Families must find an adult to walk with kindergarteners.

We encourage students to walk or roll to school.  If you child decides to roll, they MUST wear a helmet.

Finally, only people powered rolling.  No motors.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

On Monday VINS joined us to release a bard owl that was injured in Wilder in March.

Thank you PTO for the amazing Teacher Appreciation treats!

Concert Grades 3 to 5
Thursday, May 25th @ 6:30 pm

Dear DBS families,
Our American Heart Association Challenge is underway! A handful of students have already registered,  Online registration is your best bet, but feel free to contact me if you'd prefer to register manually. I can add you to our online system for sure. Sign-ups are easy through the heart.org/KHC website or use the Kid's Heart Challenge app

Although fundraising is one goal of the KHC, FINN's MISSION is another priority for our school, and the Hartford community at-large. The amazing work and research the AHA provides locally and across our country, cannot happen without even the smallest of donations. Educating as many families as possible on the benefits of learning HANDS-ONLY CPR, can save lives.

My hope would be to run a community event, where hands-on CPR can be practiced, by adults, and most children, grades 2nd and above. For our younger friends, even knowing how to dial 911 could make the hugest difference for a family member or friend in distress.

Please consider registering today! Feel free to email or call me directly with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Ms. Fowler
