The All of Us Research Program is a historic, longitudinal effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the United States to create a diverse health database that represents us all.

By taking into account individual differences in life circumstances, socioeconomics, environment, and biology, researchers may uncover paths toward delivering precision medicine – or individualized prevention, treatment, and care – for all of us.

This research is supported by National Institute of Health (NIH) along with other well-known groups such LULAC and the National Hispanic Nurses Association.
This brief video provides more information about the
All of Us Research program.

~ Al Muniz ~
He made it to Ontario, CA!
These are my new, best friends from France. I had stopped for a rest break and somewhere near Ludlow a tourist bus pulled up behind me, and it was full of French tourists. I was getting off my motorcycle and they asked if they could take a picture of me and the bike. I said sure, then I invited one lady to come sit on the motorcycle, and she was all excited and wanted to take a picture with me. Well, she got her picture on the motorcycle and then another one wanted her picture and another one. I think they all got their pictures taken, and they were all happy. I, of course, cannot speak French and they could not speak English, but we communicated somehow.

I am in Ontario, California now, taking off Tuesday, May 16th at 0800 for Washington, DC!

King Soopers Community Rewards Program

We found an EASY way to raise funds for our MHV Services!

AT NO COST TO YOU, OUR MEMBERS!

The Kroger Family of Companies states it is committed to community engagement, positive social impact and charitable giving at the national and local levels. Every community is unique, but Kroger's common goal is to partner with the neighborhoods they serve and help people live healthier lives.

One of the ways in which they do this is through their King Soopers Community Rewards program. This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping their customers do every day.

Once you link your Rewards Card to "Mile Hi Veteran's Services" all you have to do is shop at King Soopers and swipe your Shopper’s Card or key in you Rewards Number. Here’s how it works:

1. Create a digital account.

A digital account is needed to participate in King Soopers Community Rewards program. If you already have a digital account, simply link your Shopper’s Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose.

2. Link your Card to an organization.

Selecting the organization that you wish to support is as simple as updating the King Soopers Community Rewards selection on your digital account.

1. Sign into your digital account.

2. Search for your organization here.

3. Enter the name "Mile Hi Veteran's Services", or NPO number SC501 of the organization you wish to support.

4. Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save”.

Your selected organization will also display in the King Soopers Community Rewards section of your account. If you need to review or revisit your organization, you can always do so under your Account details.

3. Your organization earns.

Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you. King Soopers donates annually to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating King Soopers Community Rewards organizations.

If you have any questions, please contact Linda Romero at 303-204-5448.  Also please text when you sign up.  Thanks! :)

REQUESTING YOUR HELP
Army Uniform Needed

Member Debra Gallegos is directing a play. She has been looking for a dress uniform for an actor playing the part of a young soldier but they are hard to find and very expensive.

She is hoping someone might know where she can borrow or rent one.  She will take very good care of it and return as soon as the play is over at the end of June. She is looking for a size 34 Jacket/34 Waist/30 Length.

Debra also needs an old army or camo jacket or jacket-like shirt that she can rent or borrow.  A medium or large will work.

She needs them as soon as possible.

Thanks for any help you can give us!

Debra Gallegos
