Day 2 Recap.

Happy Friday to our CyberWest Community.

Thank you so much to everyone who turned out to the Summit this year. We had over 500 attendees across both days, incredible talks and presentations, careers and startup showcases and we can't wait to share the full recap with you all. For now, thank you from the team and if you'd like to support or be involved next year make sure you get in touch below.

So what went down on Day 2?

We kicked off the day with a fantastic keynote by Terry Roberts, the Founder, President & CEO of Whitehawk. She talked about the importance of cyber risk and resilience in critical infrastructure.

A real highlight of the day was the Cyber Careers Showcase. It was a great opportunity for everyone to get some valuable career advice in the cybersecurity field. We heard from industry leaders and educators who shared their insights, and we also got to meet with some amazing cyber providers and professionals.

And let's not forget about the Demo Showcase! We had some incredible pitches from innovative startups in the cybersecurity space. Thanks to everyone who pitched and congratulation to our winners.

1. Bankvault - for winning the Most Innovative award,
2. Cynch - Most Impactful award, and
3. Hyprfire - for the Best Pitch award.

A fireside chat with Camille Stewart Gloster from The White House was the perfect way to close out the summit and remind us all to be Secure By Design. We delved into the world of strategic collaboration and cybersecurity in a borderless world and the opportunities we have between Australia and US to continue our long-standing relationship on the Cyber front.
