I'm writing with a late-breaking invitation to participate in an adult study with the Congregational Church of Middlebury, Vermont, where my friend Andy Nagy-Benson serves as Senior Pastor.
As some of you know, Andy and I co-authored a book on climate change (Letters to the Ecotone: Ecology, Theology, and Climate Change), published earlier this year. Andy's leading an adult study on our book at his church for four Tuesdays in May; I've agreed to help lead it, which means it's happening on Zoom.
As our planning proceeded, it occurred to us that since it's on Zoom, there was no reason why folks here couldn't participate, too. So, I write with an invitation: Andy and the folks in Middlebury would be delighted to have you join in. As would I! So, here are the details:
Date/Time: Tuesday May 9, 16, 23, & 30, noon to 1 PM
Reading Assignment for Week 1: pages 1-35 (Letters from 7/27 through 9/23)
If you'd like to participate and need a copy of the book, there were copies down at Compass Rose, and it's also available on bookshop.org, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the like. I also have a couple of spare copies that I'd be happy to loan.
And since this is late notice, if you can't make the first week - or can't finish the reading - no worries. Come as you are able!
