Newark Free Library - Project Update
At this year's annual "Thank You" brunch to recognize Lifetime Members and elect new Board members, The Friends of Newark Free Library had some very special guests. County Executive Matt Meyer, Director of New Castle County Libraries, Diana Brown, and Community Services Manager Carrie Casey, announced that the county has hired Virginia-based architecture firm Quinn Evans to design the library. The company is a leading designer of libraries and recently completed the North East Library in neighboring Cecil County, Md. Charles Wray is the Lead Architect for the project and was on site to share the beginning stages of the rebuild and expansion of the library. They are looking for LOTS of community input! To up to date connect with the friends' group click HERE or to read the Newark Post article, click HERE

Help me welcome Cyndie Romer, the new 25th District State Representative. In all things DelDOT, or School related, she'll be your go-to gal. Of course, we all work together and MANY of the issues our communities face are multijurisdictional so we work together a lot. So far she has proven to be an amazing asset, helping to resolve long-standing issues and being willing to work hard.

Hi, I'm Cyndie Romer and I'm proud to be your new 25th District State Representative!
I'm a Newark mom, a leader in technology, and a passionate advocate for reproductive rights, the LGBTQIA+ community, and for reducing gun violence. I care deeply about education because I know that with knowledge comes power. I love the Newark community and I looking forward to getting started on the work that will propel our district and our state forward.
Please follow me for updates and news about our community and what's happening in the General Assembly. You can email me at cyndie.romer@delaware.gov or sign up for my e-newsletter: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/su/cX5DnoP
