Amanda Anne Platt & the Honeycutters Bring Their Signature Sound to Hendersonville

Lyrically Driven Americana Band Blends Old-School Country with Rock and Folk

HENDERSONVILLE, May 3 (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE)  On Friday, May 26, Hendersonville Theatre’s Hometown Sound Music Series welcomes Amanda Anne Platt & the Honeycutters to its stage. Tickets are $30 and available online at HVLtheatre.org or by calling the Box Office at (828) 692-1082. Groups of 10 or more receive a 10 percent discount.

Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters’ nuanced music brings insight and wit to the stories Platt tells through songwriting. Lyrically driven, the band’s country roots music often inspires introspection, whether it be about life on the road, heartache or hope. There is an empathetic and charming wit ingrained in Platt’s songwriting. She has a knack for accessing a deep well of emotion and applying it to her story-telling, whether she is writing from her own experiences or immersing herself into the melody of emotions in another person’s life.

The acclaimed Asheville band formed in 2007 as a vehicle for Platt’s songwriting. By 2015, Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters had been signed by the region’s top Americana label - Organic Records - and were being praised nationally by music publications.

Performing alongside Platt, the Honeycutters are Matt Smith on pedal steel and electric guitars, Kevin Williams on keyboard and vocals, Rick Cooper on bass and vocals, and Evan Martin on drums and vocals. Their latest and sixth studio album – The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea – was released in 2022. The band will be headlining The Get Off the Grid Fest in Spartanburg, SC from August 18-20.

Hendersonville Theatre’s Hometown Sound Music Series is supported by the Henderson County Tourism Development Authority and The Fresh Market.

Showtime is at 7:30 pm. The concert’s run time is approximately 2 hours with one 15 minute intermission. Hendersonville Theatre has made masks optional for patrons, and no proof of vaccination is required to attend a performance.
