Empower.    Include.    Inspire.    Connect.    Sustain.
Dear Friend of SCWIST,

Did you know that an estimated 80 percent of jobs in the next decade will require some knowledge of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)? STEM jobs are associated with higher pay and achieving gender equity in the STEM sector presents a promising opportunity to positively impact women. But we need the help of our supporters to get there.

Recently, we attended the 67th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67) at the United Nations (UN) in New York. You can read our blog post here. SCWIST’s long history of engaging in policy and advocacy work culminated in our ability to make important contributions at the UN over a two-week period including a recommendation that was added to item 26 of Zero Draft of the CSW67 Agreed Conclusions.

We returned with a deep sense of reaffirmation regarding the importance of the work we do at SCWIST and hope that you feel inspired too. Please consider making a contribution today to advance our work, including advocacy efforts that address the widening gender gap in the digital era.

Thank you,
Dr. Poh Tan, SCWIST President
Dr. Melanie Ratnam, VP & Director of Policy and Advocacy
