A Special Mother’s Day Blessing

Loving God, we lift all moms to you. Please give each one the strength to be a shelter of love for all the children she is called to care for physically and spiritually. We also lift up to you all those who are mourning and have lost a child. May they be healed in mind, body and soul.

For those women who are hurting today, especially those who are yearning to have a child, may this longing be filled with hope and desire to seek ways to bear fruit and be a channel of your grace. May the example of Mary, mother of Jesus, inspire women to live their vocation as spiritual mothers. Guide and protect them in challenging times and help them to continue to trust in you all the days of their lives. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Mysterious Encounters: Unveiling the Power of the Sacraments

The seven sacraments are the most visible  and familiar aspects of Catholic life, but the realities they bring about are veiled in mystery. During this seven-week study, we will discuss the Catholic sacramental worldview and what the Church teaches about the sacraments that Jesus instituted to give us His very life. Grace Strother (Director of Adult Formation) will lead the study.

No materials need to be purchased, though a Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church will be helpful. Copies of both texts will be available to borrow at the in-person sessions.

Register today to indicate which sessions you will attend:
  • Tuesdays, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., from April 25 to June 6 via Zoom
  • Wednesdays, 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., from April 26 to June 7 in the parish office (225 Seven Farms Drive, Suite 100)

Catholics are Pro-Life

“O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.

Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and assistance for mothers in need. Help us become instruments of God’s love and compassion.

Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen.

Stewardship Plans

“For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be God’s will, than for doing evil.”
-1 Peter 3:17

The old line says “if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.”  Many of us are diligent in our planning and making sure things are progressing smoothly.  Then disaster strikes, we don’t get the result we anticipated or an unforeseen problem arises.  Many times, we may respond negatively and ask, “Why me?  I did everything right!”  Here’s the thing – adversity humbles us and reminds us of our dependence on God and not on our own self-reliance.  Rest assured, God has a better plan in store for his Stewards.
