In our last meeting the concept that carried the conversation was about building trust vs. networking; as we all move through efforts to grow our business and community we are noticing the difference between the types of connections that build trust in others versus the hand-off of another business card with expectation.
TRUST BUILDING:
When connecting with others work towards demonstrating integrity, consistency, and transparency
Repair relationships and build trust. Sometimes our product or our service may not be what we intend, however, that is what helps us grow (making those repairs)
Reevaluate relationships and work with the ones that provide mutual value (we discussed stepping away from relationships that are toxic to our business)
We also considered - for further discussion - getting clear
WHAT IS YOUR WHY? Why do you want to have the business you have?
