Attorney-General at domestic & family violence conference on Mother's Day eve
The inaugural national domestic and family violence conference in Brisbane continues this morning (Saturday May 13, 2023) with Queensland Attorney-General Shannon Fentiman speaking on the eve of Mother's Day.
Single mothers and their children who are experiencing domestic and family violence risk poverty, homelessness and high levels of disadvantage when leaving abusive homes.
The Listen Connect Reflect conference draws heavily on the Choice Violence or Poverty report by Dr Anne Summers and highlights the impossible decision mother's face.
