Decatur Makers will feature fun hands-on activities including: Plotty McPlot Bot, Space Force, Einstein Shape Puzzle, the Button Makers, Art Tree, and more on the plaza this weekend! We will also host a Makers Market highlighting several of our members and an information booth to answer your questions.
Additionally, on Saturday we'll participate in Kids Fest at the Recreation Center.

Community Partnership
The Montessori Partnerships for Georgia, whose mission is to expand access to quality, child-centered education through a network of public and community-based Montessori schools, had some broken puzzles on hand! Sandra took on the challenge, using her expertise on the laser cutters, to rebuild the puzzles and return them to schools instead of the landfills! Thank you to Volunteer Cat for making this connection, thank you to Sandra for taking on the challenge, and thank you to Annie for jumping right into the maker process with us!

Youth Outreach Highlights
Youth Build Club begins May 16!
Youth Build Club is a new inclusive group for Middle School aged makers! Participants can bring a project from home and have access to select makerspace tools, equipment, and volunteers to assist in their projects. We will also have projects available for those looking for a new creative challenge.

Make It Up!
Join us for the 4th Annual Make It Up! Improv Fundraiser at Dad's Garage on June 25.
Festivities will begin at 6pm with the Silent Auction, favorite maker party activities, social time, and a cash bar. The Improv Show starts at 7pm. Come laugh with us while supporting our inclusive maker community!

Maker Highlight
These rad game pieces are the work of Maker Kelly. He 3D prints and meticulously paints each piece to create just the right look.
Decatur Makers sends Kelly a big THANK YOU for the donation of dry boxes that are now helping our own 3D printers run more smoothly and for printing these designs created by one of our youth clubs. Thank you to Kelly for going above and beyond in Volunteering!
