Spring 2023 Newsletter

On this rainy weekend, it couldn't feel less like Spring, even though the daffodils have been peeking out at the front of the Library for a couple of weeks.  Our planting volunteers are already planning their next display and we're looking forward to a spread of color as the weather warms up.

We've just finished National Library Week (April 23-29) and we celebrated National Library Workers Day with some of our wonderful staff.  Now we're looking forward to our Book Sale on Mother's Day weekend (Sat May 13th), in association with Pompton Lakes Business Improvement District.  Come and browse our selection of paperback and hardback fiction as well as non-fiction and children's books.

Staff receiving greetings cards from the Friends of the Library on National Library Workers Day.  The day commemorates the efforts and skills that our staff provide throughout the year to help patrons get the most from their community's library.

Book Sale Saturday May 13th

We'll have a table or two of gently used books available on the Library lawn on Saturday May 13th (11am - 3pm), so bring your kids and browse our books while they decorate a surprise gift for Mother's Day.
We Need Your Continued Support!
We rely on donations from our community to make programs available at our local library.  A contribution of $10, or $25 for a family, helps us present programs like our movie nights and reading resources like Bookpage. Donate or join the Friends today via PayPal.

Movie Series

Our Winter Film Series at the beginning of 2023 was a success, held on Friday evenings in association with ProjectorScreen.com.
We'll be bringing more movies to the Library lawn when the weather warms up later in the year.  Watch out for dates and titles and draw-up a chair.
