Attention Minnesota Pastors

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

It has been ages since we came together for a clergy luncheon.
There is still some money available in our Together in Ministry fund
so I would like to invite you to
First Baptist Church of Saint Paul for an informal meal
beginning at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, May 23rd.

There is no set program, just catching up with one another.
Food will be provided but I do need you to RSVP to: pastor@firstbaptiststpaul.org

Look forward to seeing you.
Blessings and peace

Rev. William Englund
Pastor
First Baptist Church of St Paul

our MABC Witness and Action Committee

Greetings Mid-American Baptist Churches!

We would like to introduce you to the Mid-American Baptist Churches Witness and Action Committee!

What is the Witness and Action Committee?  This team is called to provide information and educational opportunities for the region regarding issues of social concern as well as to study social issues and make recommendations for action.

Why do we need a Witness and Action Committee?  In answer to this question, we believe that we must go back to the driving force behind our witness, worship, and work: the word of God.  Ephesians 4:11-12 reminds us that “these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”  The Witness and Action Committee is a resource to help congregations shape their Christian response to crises, social issues, and moral dilemmas in the world today.

How can this committee help? We hope to highlight various social issues and helpful resources in future newsletters.  In the meantime, please reach out to any of the committee members if there is a social issue or concern that you are struggling with as a pastor/congregation.  We want to be of help to you so that the light of Christ can shine brightly through the Mid-American Baptist Churches!

The Generosity Project

The Generosity Project is a collaborative effort between ABCUSA, regions, and local congregations.  The Generosity Project aims to help pastors re-frame the conversation around stewardship and generosity in their congregations. Bi-monthly blogs help support new growth and understanding as we deepen our ministry and discipleship.

The Generosity Project examines the challenge of stewardship in the 21st century and looks at learning how to re-frame the conversation. It looks at how we can create experiments to nurture generosity in ourselves, our families, and our congregations. If you are curious about helpful resources that are available - click HERE
