Dear <<First Name>>,
April’s weather has been a bit taxing for gardeners. A hot and dry month after a dry summer is taking its toll on the plants. So far the animals don’t seem to be suffering but remember those water sources as we go into a dry spell.
The UWG committee are very pleased to be delivering monthly workshops.
The May workshop will be one not to miss.
Join Lyndon Davis traditional Kabi Kabi custodian on a guided walk on Sat 27th May starting at 9am, on the shores of Lake Cootharaba. Look out for an email early May for more details.
Lyndon will share stories of the local Noosa region, traditional uses of native plants, Bush Tucker, tool making, medicine healing, Custodianship, seasonal plant hunting indicators and Fire Stick farming.
We will head to the Apollonian hotel after the talk for a casual lunch. Food and drinks can be purchased.
On Sat the 22nd of April we held our second workshop in a series of three being presented by Shaun Walsh. Have a look at the article below.
The next workshop that Shaun will deliver will be
“Best Plants for Wildlife in Your Noosa Garden”
Sat 17th June 9am to 11am in Tewantin. Details to follow.
To register for either or both workshops, text Michelle on 0412074103. All workshops are free for UWG members and $10 for non members.
Lastly we have secured Dion Dior for a Nature Journaling workshop in Tewantin on Sat 19th Aug. Save the date for that one.
