This Monday, hear from Leah Appleton (Emerging Generations for High School & Young Adults) as she shares how celebrations both big and small can sustain us through life.

Days after filming this meditation, Leah went home to be with her family. Tragically, her dad Bart died unexpectedly last Friday while they were on a bike ride. 

We are struck with grief as this loss compounds with Jonah Winn's unexpected passing several weeks ago, personal griefs we each carry, and grief from our world.

Bart Appleton's memorial will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 10:30am at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, Iowa. Cards for Leah and her family may be left at church. 

As Leah and her family deal with the shock and devastation, we will follow up in the coming days with any additional ways you can extend support.
