Connect | April 2023

Kia ora <<First Name>>,

April has been a busy month for our team in and out of the office! We have wrapped up our Roar campaign that ran over March and April, and released new updates to Plan My Walk. Some of the team were out in the field installing a new remote camera in Nelson Lakes National Park, as well as filming the new Paparoa Track mountain biking safety video (see photos below). It's been all go here before the wintry weather sets in and we look ahead to our annual winter campaign.

Remove camera Nelson Lakes

Project launch | Remote mountain camera at Nelson Lakes

All aspects of backcountry recreation in the Nelson Lakes National Park will be improved thanks to a new remote mountain camera near the park’s most popular hut and overnight hike. Read our media release here or click here to watch some of the action on our Instagram!
Nathan and Mike in Canada

We're off to connect with Canada

Two of our team, Nathan and Mike, are in Canada to connect with organisations aimed at improving safety in the outdoors North America style!
We can't wait to share what they learn on their journey as they attend the Canada Avalanche Association Conference and catch up with organisations like Parks Canada, Avalanche Canada, AdventureSmart and more.

We're stoked with the results of our Plan My Walk review competition

We recently ran a email competition with an aim to re-engage existing Plan My Walk users and boost our track reviews. Over a month, we received a massive 1,145 reviews and gained a heap of new digital learnings. Check out Christian Couper’s winning review on Devils Den Bivvy.
