I get a lot of emails!! However, the ones I like the most are the ones that contain pictures from my online course students from around the world. Here is one I received recently from a student.
"Greetings. Another "Thank You So Much" for your videos. I have purchased your Classical Course and your Acoustic Course online. I have now built 5 Classicals and 4 Acoustic Guitars. The latest, with pictures attached, is a 12 fret acoustic. All my guitars are made with all Minnesota wood and LMI hardware. This includes the bindings and kerfing, etc. Unlike most, I start with logs and then have them quartersawn so I get large amounts of rough sawn material. This adds greatly to the time it takes to do the builds but I enjoy every minute of it. For me, it's all about enjoying the process and producing something that makes beautiful music. With every build I go back and review your videos to be sure I don't screw up. I think you have a great teaching style and I greatly appreciate that you frequently show and discuss multiple ways of doing the various procedures. I am a long time and experienced woodworker and I frequently do things by other means but I love seeing how you do it. Anyway, thanks again for all you do to take the mystery out of guitar building. As always -- Steve
If you are not able to come take a class with me in person then try using one of my online courses to build your guitar. See the entire list of online course offerings at the Lutherie Academy.
Happy Building.
